Product Description

Good's buffer is an important category of biological buffers, many of which are familiar, and widely used buffers belong to the Good's buffer series. For example, the common TRIS has advantages in various biochemical experiments, and can even be used in daily chemicals and industrial fields. There are more than 20 kinds of commonly used Good's buffers. Let's briefly learn the configuration methods of TRIS buffer, MES buffer and HEPES buffer.
1. TRIS buffer
Configuration of Tris-EDTA Buffer
①Weigh 12.12 g of Tris powder, dissolve it in 80 mL of purified water, add concentrated HCl dropwise to adjust the pH to 8.0, and then dilute to 100 mL;
②Weigh 18.6 g of EDTA powder, add 40 mL of purified water, stir rapidly, add NaOH solution dropwise to adjust the pH to 8.0, after the solid material is fully dissolved, set the volume to 50 mL;
③ Measure 10 mL of the prepared Tris-HCl solution and 1 mL of EDTA solution, mix thoroughly, and make up the volume to 1 L;
To configure TAE buffer, replace the above-mentioned Tris-EDTA buffer pH-adjusted hydrochloric acid with glacial acetic acid to obtain TAE buffer.
2. MES buffer
①MES powder weighs 97.62g;
②Add an appropriate amount of pure water to dissolve;
③Drop an appropriate amount of sodium hydroxide solution to adjust the pH value to 6.0;
④ Add pure water to make up the total volume to 1L.
3. HEPES buffer
1 Take 119.15g of HEPES powder;
2 Dissolve in 400mL purified water;
3 Add dropwise sodium hydroxide solution to adjust pH to 7.0;
4 Add pure water to bring the total volume to 500ml.
